Armen Khachikyan

Executive Director

Armen Khachikyan is the Executive Director of the ARAR Civilizational Research Foundation. He is a sociologist, manager, and consulting professional. He specializes in political and military sociology.

Armen Khachikyan earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Yerevan State University and later completed a master’s degree in Public Relations. He is currently writing his PhD dissertation on leadership issues in military sociology.

From 2017 to 2019, Armen Khachikyan worked at Breavis, a research and consulting company, as Project Manager of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia’s “Ditaket” program. From 2020 to 2022, he served as Head of Research and Partnerships at the Galaxy Group of Companies. He has also taught at Brusov State University and at the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

Armen Khachikyan previously served as Chair of the Yerevan State University Student Council and was the founding president of the Combat Training Club and the Debate Club. He is the author of more than twenty academic articles and research publications.

His professional experience includes a wide range of research and strategically significant projects in the public and private sectors, carried out in cooperation with international organizations. He is also a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA).

Armen Khachikyan completed his military service in the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Republic of Artsakh). In April 2016, he served as Commander of the Yerevan State University Volunteer Detachment. He has been awarded the “Nelson Stepanyan” Medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the Bronze Medal of Yerevan State University, and the Silver Medal of the Yerevan State University Student Council.
